25. - 27.08.06 - Hope - Seattle
Freitag, 25.08.2006 - Hope - Seattle:
Nachdem wir an der Grenze zurück in die USA länger warten mussten, sind wir am Mittag auf dem Campground in Seattle angekommen: Dieser Campground war richtig komfortabel. Schließlich war es auch ein KOA-Campground.
Nach dem Säubern der Campingausrüstung ging es nach Seattle. Zivilisation und Sightseeing waren angesagt.
Wir Mädels haben dann nach langer Suche das wichtigste Mitbringsel gefunden: Eine Kappe der Boston Red Sox. Wie anfangs geschrieben ist unser Guide Pete ein eingefleischter Fan der Boston Red Sox und für Samstag hatte er uns noch Karten für das Spiel Seattle Mariners - Boston Red Sox besorgt. Ehrensache, dass wir auch Kappen gekauft haben...Und als Boston Red Sox Girls Group galten...
Erst waren wir noch am Kerry Park und haben den Sonnenuntergang über Seattle genossen. Von dort hat man meiner Meinung nach den schönsten Blick auf die Skyline.
Unser Abschiedsessen war im "The New Orleans Restaurant" am Pioneer Square. Ein klasse letzter Abend mit Musik und gutem Essen.
Nochmals ging es auf den Space Needle - Blick über Seattles Skyline by Night.
Ein besonderer Dank gilt natürlich Pete. Er war immer für uns da, hat an fast jedem Schild angehalten und auch versucht, sonstige Wünsche - allen voran diverse Fotostopps - zu erfüllen. Mit seinen Ideen hatte er einen großen Anteil an einem Traumurlaub in der Pampa Kanadas!
Friday, August 25th - Hope - Seattle:
We crossed the US border and returned to Seattle. It was a comfortable KOA - Campground with swimming pool, electricity for all :-) , cleany showers and restrooms.
We had to clean our tents and all stuff. Everyone helped and after than we were driving to Seattle downtown. It was time for sightseeing and shopping. We - only the girls of course - bought our most importent souvenir of our trip: A baseball cap of Boston Red Sox. I've written it at the beginning: Our guide Pete (from Vermont/ east coast of the USA) is a big fan of Boston Red Sox. We are going with Pete an saturday evening to the match Seattle Mariners - Boston Red Sox.
In the evening we were at Kerry Park. For me it's the most beautyful view to Seattle. We enjoy the sunset.
We took our diner in the "The New Orleans Restaurant" at Pioneer Square. It was a funny (and official) end of a great trip through the canadian rockies!
Thank you Pete for all!
He has done a lot for us: He stopped on the road to make pictures ("picture stopp") and he had great ideas so that it was a fabulous trip!
You rember what we do if we don't see a grizzly??? IF YOU DON'T SEE A GRIZZLY THAN TAKE A PICTURE OF PETE!!!
Samstag, 26.08.2006 - Seattle:
Zurück im Hostel sind wir ein letztes Mal zum Shoppen und Sightseeing los. Die ersten haben uns gestern bzw. heute verlassen.
Wir - Annelies, Nuri und ich haben die Zeit noch zum letzten Shoppen genutzt sowie ein wenig Sightseeing.
Am Abend stand dann noch das Baseball Spiel Seattle Mariners - Boston Red Sox an. Die Boston Red Sox haben leider verloren.
Saturday, August 26th - Seattle:
We returned back to our hostel in Seattle. It was the last chance buying some souvenirs and sightseeing. Some of us left Seattle today.
In the evening we have seen the match Seattle Mariners - Boston Red Sox. Winner were Seattle Mariners...

Sunday, August 27th - return flight!
Fazit:
Es war eine großartige Tour mit unglaublich vielen Eindrücken von einem tollen Land! Die Zeit ist mit zwei Wochen natürlich zu knapp, um alles kennenzulernen.
Ich habe es schon geschrieben, unser Guide Pete hat mit seinen Vorschlägen viel dazu beigetragen. Vieles bleibt unvergessen! Ich kann diese Tour nur jedem empfehelen!
